Nolan Dorsey is a regular ten-year-old kid who lives with his adoptive parents and older sister, Tina. However, Nolan is not aware that he is a distant relative of Alice, the very girl who once saved all of Wonderland, and hence is the target of Mab, an evil fairy queen who wants the entirety of the magical world to end, so that humans will lose all hope just like all legends and myths have, since they have been forgotten by many.
As Mab cannot touch Nolan in the human realm, she finds a way to kidnap Tina with the help of the Morrigan, an ancient goddess, and parasites that take over their parents' bodies, turning them into playing cards to force Nolan to come to Tina’s rescue.
This way, Nolan is thrust into a world that initially only existed in storybooks. Upon waking in Underland, Nolan slowly begins to realize the truth of where he came from, and why his existence threatens the enemy that’s risen to wipe out the fairy tale world.
